Some of the sweetest love stories are told in the quiet moments—and Colby and Mattie’s wedding day was exactly that. Choosing to marry in a very private setting, they kept their "I do's" simple, heartfelt, and entirely their own. After the ceremony, they invited me to capture the beginning of their life together in a place that held a deep meaning- her mother's beautiful home.
The spot we chose for portraits was tucked away, calm, and beautifully secluded. Surrounded by nature and the comfort of family, it felt like a little hidden gem perfect for preserving such a special day. The late light fell softly through the trees, wrapping the new Mr. and Mrs. Duggins in a golden glow that made every frame feel timeless.

Another sweet touch to the evening was the washing of feet they shared during their photos. This act, rooted in biblical tradition, is a powerful symbol of humility, love, and service to one another. In John 13, Jesus washed His disciples' feet as an example of how we are called to serve with a selfless heart.
There was no grand aisle, no towering venue, no big crowd- just love, family, and a setting that felt like home. And sometimes, that's all you need for a wedding day to be absolutely perfect.
